AMC Networks launched its premium AMC + streaming package in Australia on Tuesday.
The service became available on Apple TV channels through the Apple TV app and for Amazon Prime members through Prime Video Channels for a monthly price of AU $ 8.99 ($ ââ6.68).
AMC Networks interim CEO Matt Blank has touted the âbig trackâ in international markets for the company’s brands, especially in streaming.
Among the original series featured on the service in Australia is the revenge thriller The beast must die, with BAFTA winner Jared Harris (Chernobyl), stop-motion animated comedy Ultra City Smiths featuring the vocal talents of Kristen Bell (Bowling), Dax Shepard (Parenthood), John C. Reilly (Moon base 8) and Debra Winger (Terms of affection).
Upcoming content includes Australian vampire thriller Fire bite with Yael Stone (Orange is the new black), Rob Collins (Intelligent man) and Callan Mulvey (Avengers: Endgame). AMC + Australia also offers full access to AMC Networks’ targeted streaming services, Acorn TV, focused on UK content, and Shudder, focused on horror tariffs, at no additional cost.
