Alexander James Rodriguez, is the youngest nominee at this year’s Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA), to be held on November 17.
British actor and artist Alexandre james rodriguez was named the youngest candidate to receive a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nomination with his song ‘Cherry Bomb’ paving the way for the unsigned teenager to become one of the music industry’s biggest upcoming stars.
Alexandre james rodriguez is recognized for the (independent) music video at this year’s ceremony and is among the elite in the music industry with Oscar nominees Beyonce and Van Morrison which also received nominations in the visual media categories.
Dripping witty metaphors and flowing lines, Cherry Bomb is Alexander’s tenth studio single to release as a freelance artist since launching his music career amid the pandemic in 2020. The effervescent music video “Cherry Bomb, “bursting with vibrant color, takes place in a 1950s American diner.
Making good use of his acting skills and with a dance routine choreographed by Marvin Brown (HBO Max: We are here, D23: Musical High School), Alexander is joined by teenage dancers Isidora Villagra, Jedd Berina, Kaileia Dixon and McKenzie Cole who give the audience energetic flips, kicks and splits.

Now in his 12e year, the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) honor composers, songwriters and music supervisors for their work in music for film, television and video games, as well as for science fiction films, animation, documentaries and independents in the score categories.
Other nominees this year include Arianna Grande for “Just Look Up” by Do not seek (Netflix), Jennifer Hudson, Hailey Kilgore and Saycon sengbloh for “Respect” of The respect (MGM) and “No time to die” by No time to die (MGM), produced by Billie Eilish.
