“Dissecting Horror” continues TODAY with a new episode featuring the creatives of TOO LATE

The next installment in the ‘Dissecting Horror’ digital sign series will take place on Tuesday, July 6 at 6 p.m. PST and will feature the creative flair of Gravitas Ventures’ Too late.

Set in the Los Angeles indie comedy scene, the photo centers on Violet, who does a thankless job as an assistant to famous comedian and host Bob Devore on the live-action variety show Too Late. But what only Violet knows is that Bob is a monster literally and figuratively. Resigned to her fate, Violet is taken by surprise when she meets aspiring actor Jimmy Rhodes and sparks fly. But as her feelings for Jimmy grow and Bob begins to doubt his loyalty, she and Jimmy could become Bob’s next meal.

Too late is the feature debut by director DW Thomas and writer Tom Becker. It stars Alyssa Limperis (Aunt Donna’s Big Entertainment House), Ron Lynch (Bob’s burgers, Adventure time), Will Weldon (Comedy Central’s This does not happen), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24, It’s always nice in Philadelphia), Fred Armisen (SNL, Portlandia), Jenny Zigrino (Bad Santa Claus 2, 50 shades of black), Jack De Sena (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Brooks Wheelan (SNL).

Panelists include the director DW Thomas, composer Mikel hurwitz, production designer Sam Slosburg, and two of the stars of the film: Alyssa Limperis (Purple fields) and Ron lynch (Bob Devore). Too late is out now.

Dissection Horror will air on Dread Central Facebook and also Twitch Channel. The panel is also available on our official website Youtube channel.

Since then they have produced panels highlighting the stunt coordinators, composers, visual / special effects and creators behind Monitoring, Cruiser, 12 hour shift, Don’t Look Back, Hunter Hunter, Willy’s Wonderland, Wrong Turn, Dreamcatcher, Make Monsters, The Banishment, Initiation, The Djinn, and Parallel.


DW THOMAS (Director)

DW Thomas

DW Thomas is a feature film director. She started editing films for independent production company Cineville International known for Mi Vida Loca, Gas Food Accommodation, and Swim with sharks. She has produced and edited behind-the-scenes segments for studios such as NBC, Disney, Marvel, and Pixar. Her directorial debut Too late premieres June 25 in theaters and on demand.

Mikel hurwitz

Mikel is a composer, sound organizer and storyteller.

Mikel’s credits include: Too late (Fred Armisten, Mary Lynn Rajskub); Just my kind (Rachel Skarsten), From friend to fiancee and Love in the sun (Punch); Up there (Indy Feature), a dark comedy about the fallout from a shooting in northern Michigan; Gentified (Digital Series), a Latinx comedy about gentrification in Boyle Heights, California; Dr. Baseball: Ron Taylor (Documentary), a World Series winning pitcher retires to become a team doctor.

Mikel worked as an assistant to Danny Elfman in the music departments of The grinch, Dumbo, Justice League, and Girl on the train; he was an additional writer on The boy from Medellin (Amazon).

Mikel also holds several credits as an album producer, engineer, studio musician, conductor.

SAM SLOSBURG (Production designer)

Sam Slosbourg

Sam is a production designer from Kansas City where he studied experimental filmmaking with Caitlin Horsmon at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in addition to directing with Theodore Swetz, a student of Stella Adler. Recent collaborators include Meiko Arquillos, Cody Pickens, Dylan Coulter and Ross Silverman. He is currently the CEO of an Arizona-based cannabis startup called Delta 8 Oils, which focuses on pain management options with full-spectrum delta 8 THC products.

ALYSSA LIMPERIS (Fields of violets)

Alyssa Limperis

Alyssa is an actress, writer and comedian. She can then be seen starring in the independent horror / comedy feature film. Too late opposite Ron Lynch, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Fred Armisen. The film premiered in theaters and on VOD on June 25.e.

The viral success of his comedy videos has led to recognition from Vulture, Decider, Forbes, among other leading media. She made character videos for Conde Nast The scene and Iris, and has been featured on Conan, Last week tonight, Ellentube, Aunt Donna’s house (Netflix), MTV and Fox Sports. She starred in the short film “Brandi Finds God” by Gonzalo Cordova, and also shot the feature film Just chicken alongside Josh Ruben and voices multiple characters on the Spotify podcast Kevin Bacon’s last degree.

Limperis has written for The New York Times, Into the Gloss, Riposte Magazine, and Reductress. She was named best online sketch performer by the New York Times in 2019.

On stage, she performed on the NYC UCB Maude house team “The Gift” as well as the “All Female Reboot” sketch team led by Liz Magee. She has presented her solo show, on losing her father to brain cancer, at the PVD Fringe, Cinderblock Festival, Tank, PIT and Improv Boston. His game To wake up, co-written with Shannon Odell, was a semi-finalist at the New York New Works Festival and was presented at UCB with great success. His UCB podcast Crazy; in bed, co-hosted with May Wilkerson, is a comedic look at mental health where they are joined by comedians, journalists, artists, doctors and more to help shine a light on the things people usually keep hidden.

RON LYNCH (Bob Devore)

Ron lynch

Ron Lynch has been playing comedy for over four decades and is considered one of the ancestors of alternative comedy. Ron studied theater in New York and improvisation in Second City Chicago. His credits include Business, Portlandia, Another period, The Sarah Silverman program (he played all the doctors), Conan, Andy Richter controls the universe, and several appearances on a sitcom. Her voice can be heard as recurring characters on Bob’s burgers, Adventure time, Word girl, Dr Katz, Tim and Eric, and the cult favorite, Home Movies, where he was Mr. Lynch.

Currently he is the host / producer of the popular “Tomorrow!” variety show in Hollywood, now in its sixteenth year.
