It’s fair time and time to get a job

Celebrate together again. That’s the theme of this year’s Central Washington State Fair, which runs September 24 through October 3.

The fair will need a lot of workers this year and with around 70 days until the fair starts, the fair managers are organizing a job fair. Fair officials said people would be hired on-site at a job fair scheduled for Wednesday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Modern Living building at Yakima’s State Fair located at 1301 South. Fair Avenue. Job seekers enter the job fair through gate 5.

Kathy Kramer, President and CEO of the Central Washington Fair Association, says “Attracting seasonal staff is essential in bringing the annual fair to the community. We have opened job opportunities this year to include 16 and over. The fair is a great first job to gain work experience for our young people and we hope to see a lot of it at our next career fair.
