Release date and key artwork for the Netflix movie ‘A School for Good and Evil’ starring Kerry Washington

Netflix has announced the official release date of The School of Good and Evil featuring Kerry Washington. The film will premiere worldwide on Friday, October 21, 2022. Key art from the film was also released today and is available below along with the first official teaser.


In the village of Gavaldon, two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophie Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), share the most unlikely of obligations. Sophie, a golden-haired seamstress, dreams of escaping her dreary life to become a princess, while Agatha, with her sinister aesthetic and quirky mother, has the makings of a true witch. One night under a blood red moon, a mighty force takes them to the school of good and evil – where the true stories behind every great fairy tale begin. Yet something goes wrong from the start: Sophie is dropped off at the School of Evil, led by the glamorous and acid-tongued Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), and Agatha at school for good, supervised by the sunny and kind professor Dovey (Kerry Washington). Like he’s been navigating the classrooms with the Wicked Witch’s offspring (Freya Parks), Captain Hook (Count’s Cave) and King Arthur (Jamie flatters) was not difficult enough, according to the schoolmaster (Laurence Fishburne), only the kiss of true love can change the rules and send girls to their rightful schools and destinies. But when a dark and dangerous character (Young Kit) with mysterious ties to Sophie reappears and threatens to destroy the school and the world beyond entirely – the only way to have a happy ending is to survive their real-life fairy tale first.
